Olympic soccer team, grouped with Japan, heads to Paris in a difficult situation

 Korea will face Japan in the group stage at the Asian Under-23 Football Cup, which also serves as a qualifier for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

As a result of the draw for the Under-23 Asian Cup held in Doha, Qatar today (23rd), Korea was placed in Group B along with Japan, China, and the United Arab Emirates.

If you place in the top three at the Asian Under-23 Cup held in April next year, you will advance directly to the Paris Olympics, but fourth place will have to win a playoff against a country from the Confederation of African Football to qualify for the Olympics.

In next year's Under-23 Asian Cup, 16 countries will be divided into four groups and play in the group stage, and from the quarterfinals onwards, the winning team will be decided in a knockout format.
