Becoming a youth soccer mecca... Ground N Global Youth Soccer Stove League in Jeju

Professional soccer team Jeju United actively supports the 'Ground N Global Youth Soccer Stove League in Jeju' and hopes to become a youth soccer mecca and expand sports exchanges with Asian countries.

'Ground N Global Youth Soccer Stove League in Jeju' is being held from the 11th to the 20th at soccer fields throughout Jeju City, including the Ju National University Stadium. It is sponsored by Jeju Special Coach and jointly hosted by the Korea Professional Football League and Nexon.

Youth teams affiliated with the K League, including the Jeju club's U-15 team, Ulsan HD, Busan I'Park, Pohang Steelers, Suwon FC, Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province, and Seoul E-Land, gathered together. In addition, 13 teams participated, including Jeju local teams such as Jeju Cheil Middle School, and overseas youth teams such as Deren FC (Mongolia), Persiv Bandung (Indonesia), Oita Trinata (Japan), and PVF (Vietnam).

'Ground N Global Youth Soccer Stove League' has been held since 2021 to support youth soccer and expand the soccer base. The last two tournaments were held in Namhae, Gyeongsangnam-do, and this tournament was confirmed to be hosted in Jeju Island, the hometown, through an active proposal from the Jeju club in August of last year.

Unlike previous games, the big difference is that five youth teams from four countries, including Japan, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Mongolia, participated. In addition to sports exchange, it was an opportunity to promote Jeju Island as an optimal winter training destination. In addition, the Jeju club will also support exchange, education, tourism, and experience programs through discussions with Jeju Special Self-Governing Province and Nexon during this tournament.
